Sabrina is a professional dancer and dance instructor specializing in Brazilian Zouk, Lambada, Contemporary, Twerk, and Heels. Her background in coaching gymnastics, group fitness, and personal training informs her adaptable approach and her energetic coaching style.
She was classically trained in Ballet and Jazz but loves breaking out the box and encouraging dancers to explore their creativity. She fell in love with Zouk in particular for its endless possibilities and creative use of the whole body and spine. She has been teaching Zouk since 2020 her pedagogy focuses on emotional expression, optimizing comfort, and finding the balance between intentionality and surrender.
Sabrina is also passionate about community building and safety. In 2021, she founded the Austin Brazilian Zouk Safety Committee to improve emotional and physical safety in the local Zouk community. She also organizes local dance festivals including The Art of Lambada and Divergence Zouk Festival in order to bring new perspectives and more dance opportunities to the community.
